Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality mathematics lessons to secondary school students.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those requiring additional support or extension.
• Assess student understanding through regular formative and summative evaluations, providing constructive feedback.
• Set and mark homework and assignments, ensuring timely feedback is provided.
• Engage students in active learning through a variety of pedagogical approaches, including practical applications of mathematics.
• Contribute to the wider school community through extracurricular activities and pastoral care as required.

Requirements

• Recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching Mathematics at the secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of the current national curriculum for Mathematics.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to foster a positive learning environment.
• Proficiency in using educational technology to support teaching and learning.
