Section Engineer - Structures

Carmichael UK are seeking an experienced Section Engineer with a proven background in structures to join a major HS2 scheme in Buckinghamshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a flagship infrastructure project, delivering complex reinforced concrete and structural works as part of one of the most significant construction programmes in Europe.

Responsibilities

Supporting the delivery of structural and reinforced concrete works.

Managing and maintaining site control.

Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with design drawings and specifications.

Producing and reviewing ITPs, quality records and as-built documentation.

Managing subcontractors and coordinating daily site activities.

Raising and resolving technical queries and NCRs.

Monitoring progress against programme and reporting to the Site Agent or Sub Agent.

Promoting the highest standards of health, safety and quality on site.

Requirements

Previous experience working as a Section Engineer on major civil engineering or infrastructure projects.

Strong structures experience, ideally involving reinforced concrete, bridges, retaining walls, culverts or similar assets.

Experience working for Tier 1 contractors.

Excellent setting out and surveying skills.

Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

CSCS Card.

HNC, HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

SMSTS or SSSTS beneficial
