Section Engineer

We're looking for a Senior/Section Engineer - Civils to join our team in Twyford, Buckinghamshire. This is a great opportunity to play a key role on a major civils project, supporting safe, high‑quality delivery while developing your technical leadership experience with Kier.

Location: Twyford, Buckinghamshire – site based 5 days per week. Hours: Permanent Fulltime, 45 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of engineering and technical delivery for a defined section of works.
• Ensure construction is delivered safely, to specification, on programme and to high‑quality standards.
• Create short‑term programmes and look‑ahead plans, coordinating resources, materials and subcontractors.
• Maintain accurate inspection, testing and as‑built records and support strong QA processes.
• Lead safety briefings and maintain high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Support Site Engineers and junior team members through technical guidance, coaching and mentoring.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Progress towards Chartered status, ideally with ICE.
• Strong technical knowledge of civils or infrastructure works.
• Experience supporting or managing engineering teams in a site environment.
• Good understanding of quality assurance processes, documentation and project records.
