About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Security Analyst specializing in Threat Intelligence to join their security team, working remotely to support their operations near Oxford . In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and disseminating threat intelligence to inform and enhance the organisation's defensive strategies. You will track threat actors, analyze malware, and provide timely insights to protect against evolving cyber threats. Working within a dedicated security operations unit, you will contribute to a robust threat detection and response framework. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze threat intelligence feeds, open-source intelligence (OSINT), and industry reports to identify emerging threats and trends.
- Research and analyze threat actors, their tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Develop and disseminate threat intelligence reports and alerts to relevant stakeholders.
- Contribute to the improvement of security detection rules and incident response playbooks based on intelligence.
- Collaborate with security operations teams to provide actionable intelligence for threat hunting and incident investigation.
- Maintain and utilize threat intelligence platforms and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in threat intelligence analysis, cybersecurity operations, or incident response.
- Strong understanding of threat actor methodologies, malware analysis, and cyber attack vectors.
- Proficiency in using threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, and OSINT techniques.
- Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python) is a plus.
