Security Architect

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Architect to join their technology division, operating in a fully remote capacity. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure enterprise architectures that protect the organisation's data and systems. You will lead the development of security strategies, define security standards, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security is embedded into the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement robust security architectures for cloud and on-premise environments.
• Develop and maintain security standards, guidelines, and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and solutions to address emerging threats.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for new applications and systems.
• Provide expert guidance on security best practices and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity , with a significant focus on security architecture .
• Proven experience designing secure solutions for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Deep understanding of network security, application security, identity and access management (IAM), and cryptography.
• Experience with security frameworks like NIST CSF and ISO 27001.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP-ISSAP, SABSA) are a plus.
