About The Role
As a Security Officer, you'll provide a visible and reassuring presence on site, helping to maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment at the DWP office in Blackpool.
You'll carry out routine patrols, monitor site activity, respond to incidents and ensure all Assignment Instructions and Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times.
This role is ideal for someone professional, proactive and confident working independently in a customer-facing environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous security experience
- Valid DS SIA Licence
- SC Clearance desirable
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Professional, reliable and approachable attitude
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Good attention to detail and observational skills
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
What You'll Be Doing
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for staff and visitors
- Conducting routine patrols and security checks
- Responding professionally to incidents and emergencies
- Monitoring and reporting suspicious activity or potential risks
- Completing incident reports and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting staff and visitors with a professional and approachable manner
- Following all Assignment Instructions and site procedures
- Reporting Health & Safety concerns promptly and appropriately
