About the Role

Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and alert Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to join their vital security monitoring team in Bristol . You will be responsible for monitoring security alerts, investigating potential incidents, and escalating critical issues to the appropriate teams. Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts from various tools, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Analyze security events to determine their severity and potential impact on the organization.
• Respond to and investigate security incidents according to established procedures.
• Escalate critical security incidents to senior analysts and incident response teams promptly.
• Document security events, investigations, and resolution steps accurately.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of SOC monitoring and response capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in a security operations or incident response role is advantageous.
• Fundamental understanding of networking, operating systems, and common cyber threats.
• Familiarity with SIEM tools and security monitoring concepts.
• Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends, as part of a rotating schedule.
• Strong analytical skills and the capacity to remain calm and focused during high-pressure situations in Bristol .
