Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security dashboards and alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and other security tools.
• Investigate security events, analyse potential threats, and determine appropriate escalation procedures.
• Perform initial response actions to contain and mitigate security incidents.
• Document all security events, investigations, and actions taken in a clear and concise manner.
• Maintain an up-to-date understanding of current cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack methodologies.
• Collaborate with senior security analysts and engineers on complex incident response activities.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.
• 0-2 years of experience in a cybersecurity or IT support role, with a focus on security operations.
• Familiarity with security concepts, network protocols, and common cyber attack types.
• Basic understanding of SIEM, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security tools.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
