About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to lead their security monitoring and incident response efforts in Leeds . This leadership role involves overseeing a team of security analysts, ensuring the continuous protection of the organization's digital assets, and managing the effectiveness of the SOC's operations. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of SOC analysts, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Security Operations Center, ensuring timely detection and response to security incidents.
• Develop, implement, and refine SOC procedures, playbooks, and workflows.
• Manage and tune security monitoring tools, including SIEM, SOAR, and threat intelligence platforms.
• Serve as a primary escalation point for critical security incidents.
• Report on SOC performance metrics, security trends, and incident summaries to senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in SOC operations or cybersecurity incident response.
• Proven leadership experience managing a security operations team.
• Deep understanding of security threats, attack vectors, and mitigation techniques.
• Expertise in SIEM technologies and incident response methodologies.
• Strong communication and decision-making skills under pressure.
