Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools and systems.
• Investigate and analyze security incidents, identifying root causes and potential impact.
• Respond to security incidents according to established procedures, escalating as necessary.
• Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify emerging threats.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and procedures.
• Collaborate with other IT and security teams to improve overall security posture.

Requirements

• Proven experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or similar security monitoring role.
• Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and firewalls.
• Understanding of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex security data.
• Strong communication skills, particularly for remote collaboration.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GIAC are a plus.
