Key Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and events from various security tools and systems.
- Investigate and analyze security incidents, identifying root causes and potential impact.
- Respond to security incidents according to established procedures, escalating as necessary.
- Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify emerging threats.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of SOC playbooks and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT and security teams to improve overall security posture.
Requirements
- Proven experience working in a Security Operations Centre (SOC) or similar security monitoring role.
- Familiarity with security technologies such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR, and firewalls.
- Understanding of common cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex security data.
- Strong communication skills, particularly for remote collaboration.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, or GIAC are a plus.
