Are you passionate about supporting young people and interested in a career in education?
Academics are working with a supportive secondary school in Reading who are looking for a caring and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is a great opportunity for an aspiring teacher, recent graduate, youth worker or someone with experience supporting young people.
Your Role
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
Provide one-to-one and small-group support.
Help students manage their emotions and behaviour.
Encourage confidence, independence and engagement in learning.
Build positive relationships with students.
Work closely with teachers and pastoral staff.
Help create a safe and supportive learning environment.We're Looking For in a SEMH Teaching Assistant
Patient, calm and resilient.
Passionate about supporting young people.
Confident managing challenging behaviour.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, positive and professional.
Interested in developing a career within education.Previous experience with SEMH or challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential.

Start Date: September
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm
Pay: £93-£110 per day
