Location: Wandsworth, South West London
Pay: £100-£120 per day
Contract: Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term
SEN Learning Support Assistant
Milk Education are recruiting an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Wandsworth from September.
The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher to support pupils with additional learning needs, helping them develop academically, socially and emotionally.
The Role
- Support pupils with SEND within the classroom.
- Provide 1:1 and small-group learning support.
- Help pupils engage with lessons and classroom activities.
- Reinforce learning through targeted activities and interventions.
- Support pupils with communication, social and emotional needs.
- Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with teachers and the school's SEND team.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children in a school or educational setting.
- Experience with SEN is highly desirable.
- Patient, empathetic and resilient.
- Confident supporting children with different needs.
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills.
- Reliable and committed to supporting pupil progress.
