About the Role
Deliver highly tailored, engaging lessons to small groups of pupils with severe and complex SEN. Support children with severe learning difficulties and complex additional needs. Create a calm, structured, positive and nurturing environment where every learner can feel safe and supported. Work closely with Teaching Assistants, therapists and the wider multidisciplinary team to support individual needs and EHCP outcomes. Adapt teaching, communication and behaviour strategies to meet individual pupil needs. Support pupils with developing communication, independence, social and life skills. Monitor progress and contribute to individualised learning and support plans. What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people with severe and complex SEN. Experience supporting pupils with ASD, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), SEMH, communication needs or complex learning needs would be advantageous. A calm, patient, resilient and empathetic approach to behaviour, communication and learning. QTS or relevant teaching qualifications preferred, although relevant SEN experience and a strong commitment to supporting pupils are highly valued. Why Join Us?
