About the Role – SEN Teacher
As a SEN Teacher, you’ll be working with students who are becoming more confident in how they communicate and engage with the world around them. In this SEN Teacher role, students will:
- Clearly show what they want and need through communication
- Engage well with others and take interest in activities
- Start to understand cause and effect (actions = outcomes)
- Focus for longer periods during shared tasks
- Build independence, confidence, and resilience
- Be able to access more structured learning opportunities
What You’ll Be Doing – SEN Teacher
In this SEN Teacher role, you will:
- Deliver structured, engaging lessons that meet individual needs
- Support communication, confidence, and early learning skills
- Encourage participation in group work and shared activities
- Help students understand routines, boundaries, and expectations
- Create a positive and well-organised classroom environment
- Work closely with support staff and other professionals
- Celebrate progress and support the next steps as a SEN Teacher
What We’re Looking For – SEN Teacher
We’re looking for a confident and positive SEN Teacher who:
- Has experience working with SEN and students ready for more structured learning
- Can balance structure with creativity as a SEN Teacher
- Feels comfortable leading a class and managing behaviour positively
- Is patient, encouraging, and adaptable
- Is passionate about helping young people become more independent
- Holds QTS/QTLS (ideal for this SEN Teacher role)
