SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Provision (Year 2/3)
Location: Tulse Hill, Lambeth
Start Date: ASAP
We are seeking a proactive and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a specialist Autism Provision in a primary setting.
This role will involve working with children in Year 2/3 , providing tailored support to help them access learning, develop social and communication skills, and achieve positive outcomes both academically and personally.
The Role
- Support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional needs.
- Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions.
- Implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies.
- Promote independence, engagement, and emotional regulation.
- Work closely with teaching staff and SEND professionals to support pupil progress.
- Create a structured, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children with autism and high-needs SEN.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Proactive, patient, and resilient approach.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Passion for supporting children with additional needs.
Ideal Candidate
You will have experience working within SEN settings and be confident supporting pupils with complex needs. A positive attitude and the ability to adapt to individual learning styles are essential.
