SEN Teaching Assistant (NVQ Level 3 Essential) – Secondary SEN School
Birmingham
£92.63 - £100 PAYE daily dependent on experience
Full Time | Term Time Only (32.5 hours)
Start Date: ASAP
Overview
We are recruiting a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant (Level 3) to support pupils with Autism and EHCPs in a specialist secondary school setting. The role focuses on providing tailored support to help students access learning, develop independence, and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with Autism and complex needs on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assist with the delivery of lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Implement EHCP targets and personalised learning strategies
- Support behaviour management using positive and consistent approaches
- Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider school teams
Essential Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Experience supporting pupils with Autism and EHCPs
- Experience working within a secondary school or SEN setting
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Patient, resilient and flexible approach
