About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant to work remotely with students requiring additional educational support. In this vital role, you will assist students in accessing their curriculum, providing tailored guidance and encouragement to help them overcome learning challenges. You will collaborate closely with teachers and SEN coordinators to implement individual education plans and foster an inclusive learning experience, all from the convenience of your own home.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs remotely.
- Assist students in completing assignments and understanding lesson content.
- Implement strategies outlined in individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour support plans.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers and SEN coordinators.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, promoting student confidence and independence.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational support role.
- Understanding of various special educational needs and learning differences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students.
- Proficiency with online learning platforms and digital communication tools.
- Patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to inclusive education.
