Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
The SEN Teaching Assistant will follow individual support plans and work in partnership with the class teacher and SENCO.
Prepare and adapt resources for accessible learning Support communication, interaction and confidence Encourage pupils to make choices and work independently Help pupils regulate emotions and return to learning Maintain accurate, professional communication with staff
Requirements for an SEN Teaching Assistant:
A successful SEN Teaching Assistant will be calm, dependable and attentive to safeguarding. Relevant experience in education, childcare, care, mentoring or community support can be valuable, provided you are ready to learn and follow professional guidance.
