SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a SEND ARP within a mainstream primary school in Ruislip .

This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring, patient and proactive LSA who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

Role Details

• Location: Ruislip

• Setting: SEND ARP within a mainstream primary school
• Start: ASAP
• Contract: Full-time, long-term
• Pay: 95- 115 per day PAYE
• Experience: SEN experience required

The Role

You will work closely with the ARP team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND needs , both within the specialist provision and, where appropriate, alongside their mainstream peers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support
• Supporting pupils with their learning and development
• Helping pupils develop communication and social skills
• Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviourFollowing individual support plans and EHCP targets
• Creating a calm, safe and nurturing environment
• Working closely with teachers and other professionals
• Encouraging pupils to develop independence and confidence

The Ideal Candidate

We're looking for someone who is patient, nurturing, resilient and adaptable , with previous experience supporting children with SEND.

Experience with Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, sensory needs, complex needs or behavioural needs would be highly desirable.
