About the Opportunity

Astro Education is recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join The Dingle Primary School on a regular, ongoing basis, working every Wednesday.

The successful candidate will work within the school's SEN provision room, supporting children with their learning, development and individual needs.

This is a great opportunity for a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant who is looking for a consistent one-day-per-week role within a supportive primary school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support pupils within the school's SEN provision

• Provide 1:1 and small-group support where required

• Help children engage with their learning and activities

• Support pupils with their individual learning and additional needs

• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils

• Work closely with teachers and other support staff

• Help create a safe, calm and inclusive learning environment

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children with SEN is desirable

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role

• A patient, caring and supportive approach

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

• Eligibility to work in the UK
