SEN Teaching Assistant - High Wycombe

Key Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with profound and complex needs
Assist with personal care where required, including feeding, toileting, and mobility support
Support communication using PECS, Makaton, visual aids, and other communication methods
Help implement individual education, care, and EHCP plans
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and wider support staff
Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence, and life skills
Promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environmentThe Ideal Candidate
Experience working with children or young people with SEN is preferred
Understanding of profound and complex needs, including PMLD, ASD, and physical disabilities
Patient, caring, and empathetic approach
Comfortable supporting personal care needs
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Reliable, proactive, and adaptable
