Job Description
Are you a passionate and experienced SEN Tutor in Rushden looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people?
A supportive and forward-thinking specialist education provider is looking for a dedicated SEN Tutor in Rushden to deliver personalised education to learners with a range of additional needs, including ASD, SEMH, ADHD and other additional needs.
As an SEN Tutor, you'll deliver personalised 1:1 and small-group tuition, creating engaging lessons that are tailored to each learner's individual needs, interests, abilities and learning style.
Key Responsibility fo an SEN TUtor in Rushden:
Deliver engaging, personalised lessons based on individual learning needs and EHCP outcomes.
Adapt teaching strategies to support learners with ASD, SEMH, ADHD, dyslexia, trauma-related needs and other additional needs.
Provide effective 1:1 and small-group tuition.
Plan and deliver differentiated learning activities that motivate and engage learners.
Monitor, assess and accurately record learner progress.
Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
Create a calm, safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
Encourage confidence, resilience, independence and positive attitudes towards education.
Identify and overcome barriers to learning through flexible and creative teaching approaches.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, families and other professionals to provide consistent support.The ideal SEN Tutor will have:
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
A strong understanding of additional learning needs and effective SEN strategies.
Experience delivering 1:1 tuition, intervention or personalised learning is desirable.
The ability to adapt your teaching style to suit different needs and learning profiles.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
QTS, tutoring experience, HLTA status or relevant education experience is desirable.
The ability to commute to Rushden and work effectively within the local area.
