Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Tameside area from September. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with class teachers and the school\'s SEND team to provide tailored support to pupils with a range of additional needs.
• Deliver one-to-one support and assist in small-group work.
• Implement individual learning and behaviour strategies to support pupil progress and wellbeing.

Qualifications / Experience

• Previous experience supporting children with SEND within a primary school setting.
• Experience with pupils who have Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language needs, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
• A patient, nurturing and adaptable approach to supporting learning and wellbeing.
• Confidence delivering targeted interventions and supporting pupils both in and out of the classroom.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A genuine passion for making a positive difference to children\'s educational journeys.
