Job Description
The successful candidate will be confident supporting pupils with complex autism, challenging behaviour and a range of communication and sensory needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, resilient and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role
Providing 1:1 and small-group support Supporting pupils with complex autism and additional needs Managing challenging behaviour using positive strategies Supporting communication, emotional regulation and sensory needs Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils Working closely with teachers and specialist staff Encouraging independence, confidence and engagementThe Ideal Candidate:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex autism SEND experience within a school or specialist setting Confident supporting challenging behaviour Calm, patient and resilient Excellent communication and relationship-building skills Passionate about supporting pupils with complex needsPosition: SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Southport Type: Full-time Start: ASAP Pay: Dependent on experience
