Teaching Assistant - ASD Specialist Support

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEND Secondary School in SE11. This rewarding role involves supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and helping them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive learning environment.

The Role

Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with ASD. Support pupils both inside and outside the classroom. Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs). Encourage positive behaviour and social development. Work closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team. Help create a safe, engaging and inclusive learning environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASD. Patient, resilient and empathetic approach. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. A genuine passion for supporting young people with additional needs. Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential.
