Job Description
As an Academy within the Mulberry Schools Trust, we areseeking to appoint an inspirational and dedicated SENDCo to lead inclusionand special educational needs provision at Mulberry Silverdale Primary.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced SENDleader, or an ambitious practitioner ready to take the next step in theircareer, to play a pivotal role in ensuring that every child receives the support, challenge and opportunities they need to thrive. Working as part ofour wider leadership team, the successful candidate will champion inclusivepractice, remove barriers to learning and ensure that pupils with SENDachieve their full potential.

We are looking for a person who:
- Is a passionateadvocate for children with SEND and champions an inclusive, equitableand ambitious education for all pupils
- Has experienceof leading SEND provision and a strong understanding of the statutoryresponsibilities of the SENDCo role in line with the SEND Code ofPractice
- Can lead,develop and evaluate high-quality SEND systems, ensuring provision iseffective, evidence-informed and has a measurable impact on pupiloutcomes
- Has theexpertise to support staff in delivering adaptive teaching and inclusiveclassroom practice through high-quality professional development andcoaching
- Understands theimportance of early identification, assessment and targeted interventionto ensure pupils’ needs are met effectively
- Will workcollaboratively with teachers, support staff, families and externalagencies to secure the best outcomes for children
- Has a strongunderstanding of safeguarding, vulnerable learners and the widerpastoral needs of pupils
- Can use data,evidence and professional judgement to monitor progress, evaluateprovision and drive continuous improvement
- Builds positiverelationships and promotes a culture of belonging, confidence andaspiration for pupils with SEND
- Will contributestrategically to whole-school improvement as a member of the widerleadership team
