About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and imaginative Senior 3D Animator to join their dynamic creative studio based in Newcastle upon Tyne . In this hybrid role, you will be instrumental in bringing characters and environments to life for cutting-edge projects, collaborating with a talented team of artists, directors, and technical staff. You'll have the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects, from feature films and AAA games to immersive virtual experiences, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in 3D animation. Key Responsibilities

• Create high-quality, engaging 3D character and environmental animations that meet project artistic and technical requirements.
• Collaborate closely with the art and directorial teams to interpret creative briefs and deliver compelling animated sequences.
• Animate complex rigs, paying close attention to motion, timing, weight, and performance.
• Optimize animation assets for real-time engines and rendering pipelines.
• Provide feedback and guidance to junior animators, fostering skill development within the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve animation-related technical issues throughout the production pipeline.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in 3D animation for film, games, or related media.
• Expert proficiency with industry-standard 3D animation software (e.g., Maya, Blender, 3ds Max).
• Strong understanding of animation principles, cinematography, and storytelling through movement.
• Experience with motion capture data cleanup and integration is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing in-studio collaboration with remote productivity.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
