Senior Accountant

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage and improve accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for financial performance against budget and forecasts.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Assist with tax preparation and filings, liaising with external tax advisors as needed.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and contribute to team development within a remote environment.

Requirements

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
• Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior accounting role, with a strong understanding of UK GAAP/IFRS.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Excel skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage financial reporting and analysis independently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, crucial for effective remote collaboration.
• Experience working in a remote or distributed team environment is highly advantageous.
