About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Senior Aerodynamics Engineer to contribute to groundbreaking aircraft design projects in Wolverhampton . This role involves conducting advanced aerodynamic analyses and simulations to optimize aircraft performance, efficiency, and stability. You will work closely with design teams, leveraging state-of-the-art tools and methodologies to push the boundaries of aerodynamic innovation. This hybrid role allows for a blend of focused remote work and essential on-site collaboration at our Wolverhampton facility, fostering a productive and innovative atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis and simulations to predict aerodynamic performance.
- Develop and refine aerodynamic designs for new aircraft components and systems.
- Conduct wind tunnel testing and analyze experimental data to validate simulation models.
- Collaborate with structural, propulsion, and flight control engineers to ensure integrated system performance.
- Interpret complex aerodynamic data and present findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices in aerodynamic analysis.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Aerodynamics.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft aerodynamics design and analysis.
- Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., ANSYS Fluent, STAR-CCM+) and CAD tools.
- Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, turbulence modeling, and aircraft flight dynamics.
- Experience with wind tunnel testing procedures and data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for effective collaboration in a hybrid setting.
