About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and innovative Senior Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their elite remote engineering team. This role is critical for the design, development, integration, and testing of complex aerospace systems. You will take a leading role in defining system requirements, architecting solutions, and ensuring the successful implementation of cutting-edge technologies for next-generation aircraft and space applications. This fully remote position requires a proactive engineer who can collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across different time zones, drive technical excellence, and contribute to groundbreaking projects from their home office. You will be instrumental in pushing the boundaries of aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and integration of complex aerospace systems , ensuring they meet stringent performance, safety, and reliability requirements.
- Define system architecture, requirements, and interfaces, working closely with subsystem engineers and project managers.
- Perform system analysis, modeling, simulation, and testing to validate design concepts and ensure optimal performance.
- Oversee and contribute to the verification and validation (V&V) processes for all developed systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers within the remote team.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, flight test, and customer support teams to resolve issues and ensure seamless product deployment.
- Stay current with emerging aerospace technologies and propose innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in aerospace systems engineering , with a strong track record of delivering complex projects.
- Expertise in system design methodologies, requirements management, and V&V processes.
- Proficiency with systems engineering tools (e.g., DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink) and simulation software.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and excellent remote collaboration skills.
- Strong understanding of aircraft or spacecraft systems, including propulsion, avionics, structures, and power systems.
