Senior AI Platform Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior AI Platform Engineer to design, build, and maintain the core infrastructure that powers their advanced artificial intelligence and machine learning initiatives. This role, based in Bristol , is critical for ensuring the scalability, reliability, and efficiency of their AI development and deployment pipelines. You will work with cutting-edge technologies, collaborating with AI researchers and software engineers to create robust platforms that accelerate innovation. Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and robust AI/ML platforms and infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for machine learning models and applications (MLOps).
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations for AI workloads.
• Ensure the security, reliability, and availability of the AI platform.
• Collaborate with AI/ML engineers and data scientists to understand their infrastructure needs and provide support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, with a focus on cloud infrastructure.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Ansible).
• Familiarity with machine learning workflows, tools, and common challenges.
• Excellent scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash) and a strong understanding of networking and system administration.
