About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly experienced Senior AI Platform Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of their core AI infrastructure, supporting a fully remote workforce. You will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling the platforms that enable our data scientists and ML engineers to develop, train, and deploy AI models efficiently and effectively. This role requires deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud computing, and MLOps best practices. You will champion engineering excellence and play a critical role in empowering our AI teams to innovate faster and deliver impactful solutions globally.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and manage scalable and robust AI/ML platforms and infrastructure.
- Implement and optimize automated workflows for model training, deployment, and monitoring (MLOps).
- Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of our AI infrastructure across cloud environments.
- Collaborate with AI/ML teams to understand their needs and provide enabling tools and services.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy for AI platforms.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong experience with building and managing ML platforms and MLOps pipelines.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Go, or Java, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration (Kubernetes).
