About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Aircraft Maintenance Engineer specializing in rotary-wing aircraft to join their esteemed team based in Aberdeen . This critical role involves ensuring the airworthiness and operational readiness of a diverse fleet of helicopters, contributing directly to the safety and efficiency of vital aviation operations in the North Sea region. You will be an integral part of a dedicated engineering department, upholding the highest standards of maintenance and compliance, and playing a pivotal role in the ongoing success and safety protocols of our client's aviation services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of rotary-wing aircraft.
- Diagnose and rectify complex technical issues, ensuring all work complies with regulatory standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records using digital logging systems and ensuring compliance with airworthiness directives.
- Collaborate with flight operations and safety departments to address any technical concerns and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer , with a significant focus on helicopters.
- Relevant EASA Part 66 or equivalent certification (e.g., B1.3 or B2).
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting complex aircraft systems and structures.
- Strong understanding of aviation regulations, safety management systems, and quality assurance procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a meticulous attention to detail.
