About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance and repair facility in Plymouth . This essential role involves the inspection, repair, and modification of aircraft airframes and structural components to ensure the highest standards of safety and airworthiness. You will be working with a variety of aircraft, utilizing your expertise in structural repair techniques and materials. As a senior member of the team, you will also provide guidance to junior technicians and contribute to maintaining operational excellence within a busy and dynamic aviation environment. Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of aircraft structures to identify damage, fatigue, or corrosion.
• Execute repairs and modifications to aircraft airframes and associated structural components using approved methods and materials.
• Interpret structural repair manuals, drawings, and technical specifications accurately.
• Operate specialized tools and equipment for structural repairs, including sheet metal fabrication and composite repair.
• Ensure all structural maintenance activities are meticulously documented in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior technicians, ensuring quality standards are met.

Requirements

• Significant experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or Sheet Metal Worker in the aviation industry.
• Proven ability to perform structural repairs on various aircraft types, including composite and metallic structures.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting aircraft structural drawings, repair manuals, and technical data.
• Skilled in using sheet metal fabrication tools, welding equipment, and composite repair techniques.
• Strong understanding of aircraft structures, materials, and associated repair procedures.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
