Senior Aircraft Systems Engineer

About the Role

Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry , is seeking an experienced Senior Aircraft Systems Engineer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and integration of avionic and electrical systems for new aircraft platforms.
• Perform system requirements analysis, system architecture design , and trade studies.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and procedures for system validation and verification.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, including structures, propulsion, and flight controls, to ensure seamless system integration.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on complex system engineering tasks.
• Ensure all designs and implementations adhere to relevant aviation regulations and standards, such as EASA and FAA requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in aircraft systems engineering within the aerospace industry.
• Proven experience with systems integration , requirements management, and verification and validation processes.
• Proficiency in using engineering tools and software, such as DOORS, MATLAB/Simulink, and CAD software.
• Strong understanding of avionic systems, power distribution, and communication protocols common in aircraft.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement.
