Senior Analytical Chemist - Method Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Analytical Chemist with a focus on Method Development to join their quality control and R&D laboratories in Liverpool . This role is integral to ensuring the quality, safety, and efficacy of our products through the development, validation, and implementation of robust analytical methods. You will work with a variety of advanced analytical instrumentation and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product development and release. This position offers a great opportunity for an experienced analytical chemist to contribute to critical quality assurance processes in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques like HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
• Optimize existing analytical procedures to improve efficiency, accuracy, and robustness.
• Perform routine testing and troubleshooting of analytical instrumentation.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
• Collaborate with formulation, process development, and quality assurance teams.
• Ensure all analytical activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, ICH).

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry , Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical or chemical industry analytical development.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, and various spectroscopic techniques.
• Proven ability to develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods.
• Good understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
