About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Chemist to join their quality control and research support team in Edinburgh . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and consistency of our pharmaceutical products through the development, validation, and application of sophisticated analytical methods. You will work with a range of cutting-edge analytical instrumentation and play a key role in regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and implement analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, and ICP-MS.
- Perform routine analysis and stability studies, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory guidelines.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methods, providing solutions to analytical challenges.
- Prepare detailed analytical reports, method validation summaries, and regulatory submission documents.
- Mentor and train junior analytical chemists on analytical techniques, instrumentation, and laboratory procedures.
- Stay current with advancements in analytical chemistry and relevant regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical analytical chemistry, with a strong understanding of GMP regulations.
- Extensive hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, dissolution testing, and other relevant analytical techniques.
- Proficiency in method development and validation according to ICH guidelines.
- Experience with instrument qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and routine maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration in Edinburgh .
