About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join their quality control and research department in Wolverhampton . This pivotal role involves developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods to ensure the quality and purity of chemical products. You will utilize a wide range of sophisticated analytical instrumentation and techniques, playing a key role in problem-solving and process improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, validate, and optimize analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methods, identifying root causes of issues.
- Interpret analytical data and generate comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., GMP, ISO).
- Mentor junior analytical chemists and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- MSc or Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry, preferably in a regulated environment.
- Extensive hands-on experience with a variety of analytical techniques and instrumentation.
- Strong understanding of method validation principles and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
