About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Chemist to join their innovative, fully remote research and development department. This position will play a crucial role in developing and validating analytical methods for a range of chemical products, ensuring quality, purity, and compliance. You will utilize state-of-the-art analytical instrumentation and techniques to characterize materials, solve complex analytical challenges, and support product development lifecycles. This role requires a deep understanding of analytical chemistry principles and a passion for scientific rigor. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, NMR, and spectroscopy.
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis of samples to assess purity, identity, and quantify components.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve analytical issues to ensure data integrity.
- Write detailed analytical method documentation, validation reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Interpret analytical data, generate reports, and communicate findings to R&D teams and management.
- Stay current with new analytical technologies and regulatory requirements in the field.
- Mentor junior analytical chemists and provide technical guidance.
Requirements
- MSc or Ph.D. in Chemistry (Analytical, Organic) or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in analytical chemistry within an R&D or quality control environment.
- Proficiency with a wide range of analytical instrumentation, particularly HPLC, GC, and MS.
- Strong understanding of method development, validation principles, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
- Excellent data analysis and interpretation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities, suitable for remote collaboration.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple analytical projects simultaneously.
