About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Senior Analytical Development Scientist to join their cutting-edge research facility in Cambridge . This role is pivotal in developing and validating robust analytical methods for characterization and quality control of novel pharmaceutical products. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, contributing to the development pipeline from early-stage research through to clinical development. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced scientist to apply their expertise in a highly innovative environment and contribute to the advancement of new therapies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, mass spectrometry) for small molecules and biologics.
- Characterize drug substances and drug products, ensuring they meet predefined quality attributes and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot analytical assays and instruments, implementing solutions to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Support technology transfer activities to manufacturing sites and contract research organizations (CROs).
- Collaborate with formulation, process development, and quality assurance teams to achieve project milestones.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or MSc in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proven expertise in a range of analytical techniques relevant to pharmaceutical analysis.
- Strong understanding of regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH) and GMP requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail in experimental execution and data reporting.
