Senior Analytical Scientist - Method Development

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Analytical Scientist with a focus on method development to join their expanding team in Wolverhampton . This position is critical for ensuring the quality and reliability of analytical data that underpins product development and manufacturing. You will be responsible for designing, validating, and implementing innovative analytical methods using a range of advanced techniques. Working within a modern laboratory, you will collaborate closely with R&D and quality control departments to support critical project milestones and maintain high standards of scientific rigor.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, and spectroscopy.
• Optimize existing analytical methods to improve sensitivity, specificity, and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve method-related issues.
• Perform routine analysis and data interpretation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Author method validation reports and contribute to regulatory submissions.
• Mentor junior analytical scientists and provide technical guidance.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Expertise in chromatography (HPLC, GC) and spectroscopic techniques (UV-Vis, IR, NMR).
• Thorough understanding of GMP/GLP regulations and quality control principles.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
