About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Scientist to join their pharmaceutical research and development team in Bradford . This role is crucial for ensuring the quality and efficacy of pharmaceutical products through rigorous analytical testing and method development. You will lead key analytical projects, mentor junior scientists, and contribute to regulatory submissions. The position requires a deep understanding of analytical chemistry techniques and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of scientific integrity within a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for drug substances and products using techniques like HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
• Conduct routine and non-routine testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and experimental issues.
• Interpret analytical data and prepare comprehensive reports for internal stakeholders and regulatory agencies.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior analytical scientists.

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical analytical development and quality control.
• Expertise in chromatographic (HPLC, GC) and spectroscopic (UV-Vis, IR, MS) techniques.
• Strong understanding of ICH guidelines and GMP requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
