Senior Analytical Scientist - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytical Scientist to join their dynamic pharmaceutical research and development team in Reading . This role is crucial for developing, validating, and implementing analytical methods to support drug substance and drug product development. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality and integrity of pharmaceutical products through rigorous analytical testing and data interpretation. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, MS, spectroscopy) for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform routine and non-routine analysis of pharmaceutical samples according to established protocols and regulatory guidelines.
• Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and resolve analytical issues.
• Interpret analytical data, prepare comprehensive reports, and present findings to project teams.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant regulatory standards.
• Mentor junior analytical scientists and contribute to laboratory operational excellence.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Extensive hands-on experience with various analytical techniques, particularly HPLC and GC-MS.
• Thorough understanding of ICH guidelines and GMP requirements.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
