About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Analytical Scientist to enhance their R&D capabilities in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is crucial for developing and validating analytical methods to support product development and quality control. You will be responsible for employing a range of advanced analytical techniques to characterize materials, identify impurities, and ensure product integrity. Working within a dedicated laboratory environment, you will collaborate with chemists and formulators to solve complex analytical challenges and contribute to the successful launch of new products. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
- Perform routine and non-routine analysis of samples to support R&D, manufacturing, and quality control.
- Troubleshoot analytical instrumentation and methods, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
- Interpret analytical data and generate comprehensive reports, providing clear conclusions and recommendations.
- Contribute to the assessment and implementation of new analytical technologies and instrumentation.
- Ensure all analytical activities comply with relevant regulatory guidelines (e.g., GLP, GMP).
Requirements
- M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical chemistry , preferably within the pharmaceutical or chemical industry.
- Proficiency with a variety of analytical instruments, including HPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy.
- Strong understanding of method validation principles and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with data analysis software and statistical tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
