Key responsibilities:
- Provide 3rd line production and UAT support for critical trading applications
- Investigate complex issues across application, OS, database and network layers
- Perform detailed root cause analysis using logs, code and monitoring tools
- Support production deployments, configuration management, DR and BCP activities
- Develop scripts, SQL and application changes to improve reliability and automation
- Work closely with technology, product and client-facing teams
- Drive automation and continuous improvement across the support function
- Strong experience in production/application support within financial services
- Front-office or electronic trading application support experience
- Strong Linux and Windows administration knowledge
- Python, Bash, PowerShell, Perl or similar scripting experience
- Strong SQL/database experience, ideally SQL Server and MongoDB
- Strong understanding of networks, APIs and application integration
- FIX API experience
- Experience with Git and production deployments
- A genuine engineering mindset with strong problem-solving skills
