About the Role

Our client seeks a talented and experienced Senior Architect to join their vibrant practice located in Sunderland . This role is central to the design and delivery of innovative architectural projects across various sectors. You will be responsible for leading design teams, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will have a passion for design excellence, a strong understanding of sustainable building practices, and the ability to mentor junior staff, contributing to a collaborative and creative studio atmosphere that balances office-based work with remote flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design process for architectural projects, developing creative and technically sound solutions.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Produce high-quality architectural drawings, specifications, and presentation materials.
• Mentor and support junior architects and architectural assistants.

Requirements

• Professional qualification as an Architect (RIBA Part III or equivalent).
• Significant post-qualification experience with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and other relevant design and visualization software.
• Excellent understanding of UK planning policies and building regulations.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client-management skills.
