About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and authoritative Senior Architect to join their established practice in beautiful Plymouth . This role is central to leading and managing projects from inception through to completion, ensuring design excellence, technical quality, and client satisfaction. You will be responsible for overseeing design teams, mentoring junior staff, and contributing significantly to the firm's reputation for innovative and sustainable architectural solutions. The hybrid nature of this role allows for essential in-person collaboration and client engagement, balanced with the flexibility of remote work for focused design and documentation tasks, offering a dynamic work experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of complex architectural projects, ensuring high standards of architectural quality and technical execution.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants.
- Provide expert guidance and mentorship to junior architects and architectural technologists.
- Engage with clients to define project requirements, present design proposals, and maintain strong working relationships.
- Ensure all designs comply with current building regulations, planning policies, and sustainability standards.
- Conduct thorough site analysis and feasibility studies for new project opportunities.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Architect with extensive post-qualification experience.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating successful project leadership and a commitment to design quality.
- Proficiency in Revit and other industry-standard architectural software.
- Demonstrated experience in client liaison and project management.
- Excellent understanding of construction methods, materials, and UK building regulations.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid model , balancing office-based collaboration with remote focused tasks.
