About the Role
A distinguished architectural practice in Leeds is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Architect to lead design and project delivery. This role is critical for driving high-quality design outcomes and managing projects from inception to completion, working across sectors including commercial, residential, and cultural buildings. You will be responsible for client liaison, team leadership, and ensuring technical excellence throughout the design and construction process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design ethos combined with excellent project management skills and a deep understanding of the architectural process in the UK context, working in a hybrid model that balances office collaboration with remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development and technical detailing for significant architectural projects.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful delivery.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
- Mentor and guide junior architects and architectural assistants, fostering their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant planning policies, building regulations, and construction standards.
- Contribute to business development activities, including fee proposals and presentations.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Architect with extensive experience (e.g., 7+ years post-qualification).
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit and AutoCAD.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects from concept to completion.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations and construction practices.
