About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and creative Senior Architectural Designer to join their dynamic team in Aberdeen . This role is pivotal in conceptualizing and developing innovative architectural designs from initial brief through to detailed construction documentation. You will be instrumental in shaping projects that blend aesthetic vision with functional requirements, contributing to a portfolio of diverse and impactful developments. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of building codes and regulations, and the ability to lead design initiatives within a collaborative studio environment. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design development of architectural projects, from concept design to detailed construction drawings.
- Collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to define project scope, requirements, and design solutions.
- Prepare high-quality presentations, visualizations, and design proposals for client review.
- Ensure designs comply with all relevant building regulations, planning policies, and sustainability standards.
- Mentor junior designers and contribute to the overall design direction and quality control within the team.
- Oversee the production of technical documentation and specifications for tender and construction.
Requirements
- Professional qualification in Architecture (e.g., RIBA Part II or equivalent) with a strong portfolio showcasing design excellence.
- Minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in architectural design, preferably within a practice.
- Proficiency in industry-standard CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) and visualization tools.
- In-depth knowledge of UK building regulations, planning procedures, and construction methods.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts clearly.
