About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Architectural Engineer to join their established team in Sheffield . This role is critical in ensuring the structural integrity, safety, and performance of a diverse range of architectural projects. You will be responsible for leading engineering design efforts, providing technical expertise, and collaborating closely with architects and construction teams to deliver innovative and buildable solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of structural analysis, building physics, and construction methodologies, contributing to projects that stand the test of time in the South Yorkshire region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the structural and building engineering design for architectural projects from concept to completion.
- Perform structural analysis and calculations using industry-standard software.
- Develop detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other consultants to ensure seamless project integration.
- Oversee the implementation of engineering designs on-site and provide technical support.
Requirements
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) status or equivalent professional qualification.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in architectural engineering or structural design.
- Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000) and BIM tools.
- Strong understanding of building codes, standards, and construction materials.
- Excellent leadership, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
